Infant Massage & Craniosacral Class for Parents
2 hours
10:00 am - 12:00 pm (Saturdays) - unless noted

This class is open to parent(s) and 1 pre-crawling infant.  (Please contact me if both parents wish to participant).  Both parent and baby will participate in this class.  Come join a relaxed and loving environment to learn massage and Craniosacral Therapy techniques to help you have more ease in relating with your baby. There will be demonstrations, however, this class will be extremely hands-on so that you can perform everything that you have learned on your baby.  You are welcome to take photos or videos on your phone to ensure confidence in your techniques.

You will learn to
Help your baby with constipation
Improve lack of sleep – which will help with yours
Improve digestion and absorption of nutrients
Engage with your babies' nervous system
Improve tongue movements to support latching

What to bring:
•       1 oversized or beach towel
•       1-2 hand towels
•       Lotion and oil of choice that works for your baby’s skin.
•       Yoga mat and any floor cushions you may need to sit comfortably on the floor.

CST Class for Parents with Special Needs Children (Autism, Cerebral Palsy,  Sensory Processing, etc)1 6 Hours - 1 Day

This class will assist you in helping your child cope with Anxiety, Sleep Issues, Speech, OCD, Aggression, Learning disabilities, Hyperactivity to name a few. You will learn some basic Craniosacral Therapy and Massage Therapy hands on techniques that will facilitate a calming of your child's nervous system.

Craniosacral Therapy for Everyone
1 Day Class

6 Hours - 1 Day

This class is an introductory class offered to healthcare providers AND the general public (massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, IBCLC's, midwives, medical professionals, counselors, etc.)

Participants will learn
"The Why's" - "The What's" - "The How's" of Craniosacral Therapy
The philosophy and basic principles of Craniosacral Therapy
Basic anatomy and physiology of Craniosacral System
What to "feel" for in the body
How to listen to and detect the Craniosacral Rhythm
Who may benefit from Craniosacral Therapy
There will be hands-on experience and a demonstration


Participates will receive a hand out and a certificate of completion. Any healthcare provider who decides to continue on and take the 3 Day - CST Exploring the Layers Class will receive a $50 credit off of the registration fee of $450.


Craniosacral Therapy Exploring the Layers

Participates will:
Learn the history and philosophy of Craniosacral Therapy
Understand the importance of energetic boundaries

Understand the anatomical components and physiology of the Craniosacral System
Utilize various assessment tools
Palpate the Craniosacral Rhythm anywhere on the body
Explore how to palpate, evaluate and treat Cranial Bones
Explore basic Cranial Nerve enervation
Learn how to detect dysfunction and help restore balance in the Craniosacral System.

In the class we will have lectures, demonstrations and lot's of hands on practice.

Suggested Reading: Your Inner Physician and You. Atlas of Human Anatomy.

Students will receive a manual and 21 Continuing Education Unit

TMJ Exploration and Internal Mouth Work
1 Day Class

6 Hours - 1 Day
9:00 - 4:00

This class is an indepth study of the tempromandibular joint and its dysfunction.  It is offered to healthcare providers (massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, medical professionals, etc.) Students will explore the fascia, external muscles and internal muscles of the tempromandibular joint and and it's dysfunction.   LMT's receive 6 CEU's

Participants will learn:
TMJ disorder signs and symptoms
What the temporomandibular joint is and how if functions
Specific massage techniques for treating the jaw and its surrounding tissues
Benefits and contra-indications of massage for treating TMJ pain
The appropriate time to refer a client with a TMJ disorder

I co-teach this class with Carol Gray in Portland Oregon.  This class assists the practitioner in supporting the emotions that may arise with their clients during a Craniosacral Therapy session.

This four and a half day class includes lectures, ample demonstrations, lots of supervised hands-on practice with classmates and facilitated discussions about the treatments we give and receive in class.
